Abstract

The Importance of Optimal Natural Resource Management in Indonesia as an Agrarian Country.Indonesia is an agrarian country with abundant natural resources. Agriculture is one of the main pillars of the Indonesian economy. However, the management of natural resources in Indonesia is still suboptimal. This is evident in the practice of manual management of plantations, including irrigation. Soil moisture and air temperature are abiotic environmental factors that affect plant growth. Computer technology and microcontroller sensors can be used in agriculture to determine soil moisture and soil temperature automatically. By designing a system that utilizes this technology, using fuzzy logic methods for soil and air assessment, and integrating it with a microcontroller control system, it is hoped that this research can reduce the burden on farmers in managing their plantations. Irrigation, which was previously done manually, can be automated and can make it more efficient to achieve the desired harvest results.
